Gastroenteritis (Diare Akut)Gastroenteritis (Acute Diarrhoea)
Yang membatasi dokter umum bukan tingkat kemampuannya melainkan kriteria rujukan panduan sendiri, terutama dehidrasi berat dan fasilitas tanpa sarana infus [1].SKDI 2012 places gastroenteritis at item 26, Stomach, Duodenum, Jejunum, Ileum subgroup, at competency level 4A with no qualifier, and PPK FKTP uses the same grade [1][4]. The title in both documents carries cholera and giardiasis in brackets, but each is a separate disease with its own code, cholera A00 and giardiasis A07.1, and neither is covered by the A09 code this page uses [1]. What limits the GP is not the competency level but the guideline's own referral criteria, above all severe dehydration and a facility without infusion capability [1].
- Faktor risiko 1:
- Kebersihan diri dan sanitasi lingkungan yang buruk.
- Riwayat intoleransi laktosa.
- Riwayat alergi obat.
- Infeksi HIV atau infeksi menular seksual.
Acute gastroenteritis is inflammation of the gastric and small bowel mucosa with loose or watery stools three or more times in 24 hours, sometimes carrying mucus or blood, often with nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and fever 1. An episode runs 3 to 7 days and can extend to 14 days; beyond 14 days it is persistent and drives malnutrition, beyond 30 days it is chronic 1. The main danger is fluid loss reaching hypovolaemic shock 1. GP competency is 4A 4.
- Causes are infection, malabsorption, food poisoning or food allergy, and the patient's psychological state 1.
- Organism-specific forms carry their own names: dysentery from Entamoeba histolytica, giardiasis from Giardia lamblia, cholera from Vibrio cholera 1.
- This page is coded A09. Cholera (A00) and giardiasis (A07.1) carry their own codes and are not covered here.
- Risk factors 1:
- Poor personal hygiene and environmental sanitation.
- Previous lactose intolerance.
- Previous drug allergy.
- HIV infection or sexually transmitted infection.

Anamnesis.
- Makanan iritatif, jamu, diet cola.
- Kondisi imunokompromais (HIV/AIDS) dan demam tifoid.
History. Loose or watery stool three or more times in 24 hours, sometimes carrying blood or mucus, with abdominal pain or bloating, nausea, vomiting and tenesmus 1. A large volume at each stool points to a small bowel origin, a small volume to the large bowel, and accompanying fever strengthens the suspicion of infection 1.
History to draw out 1:
- Eating or drinking from a source of doubtful cleanliness.
- Travel to a diarrhoea outbreak area.
- Lactose intolerance, infants especially.
- Irritant food, herbal preparations, diet cola.
- Immunocompromised status (HIV/AIDS) and typhoid fever.
